From John Eldredge
I am on John Eldredge's Intercessors E-mail list. I just received an E-mail that said this: I hope you had a wonderful Easter! It's taking some time, but beginning to sink in, that Life really is the point, and that, as Dallas Willard says, "life" is a perfectly suitable synonym for the word "salvation" in the Bible. For too long we've lived with the view that salvation equals "heaven when you die," and "the blood of Jesus covers my sins." And that's true. It does. But there is MORE. The resurrection of Jesus is also our resurrection: "just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life" (Romans 6:4). May the life of God fill you today. Amen & Amen. Are you experiencing true, abundant life presently? Or are you waiting for heaven? There is a huge difference!
