Invisible Children
As many of you know, on Monday, May 1 at 7:00, Consumed Ministries in partnership with Intervarsity Student Fellowship at Normandale Community College will be hosting a free Shawn McDonald concert to benefit Invisible Children. The concert will take place in Normandale's auditorium. Some of you are not familiar with the Invisible Children Organization or why we (Consumed Ministries) would do something on there behalf. I was just made aware that on Wednesday's episode of Oprah, Invisible Children will have a fifteen minute segment on the show. If you can watch it live, record it on your Tivo, DVR, or VCR, I'm sure the segment will assist you in learning more about Invisible Children and why we desire to do something to help them with their cause. You can also find information at their website -- www.invisiblechildren.com Tickets for the concert are still available. Please E-mail tickets@consumedministries.com to reserve tickets for you and your family & friends.

I musst say i was greatly encourged to hear about this. Every since my first semeter here at Moody after i saw the documentary, it has been on my heart. I want to ask that as the Global Night Comute takes place this Saturday if you guys will be in prayer for it. I and a few friends are few of the many doing this. We talk so much about helping and feling a cause but never do anything about it.I'm glad to see you guys being active. You guys rock and I miss ya'll.
Jerry, That is awesome man. Get back on here after the commute and let us know how it went.
Well we were incredible spoiled because one of the kids fromthe video was actually in the park with us. It was awsome, well at least that was, but thats where it ends. It was cold, rainy and due to city laws we couldn't actually sleep. I really appreciated you guys answering my phone calls that night. All in all it was pretty much a crappy time, but I'd do it again. It was an amazing thing to be a part of.It really helped me to get the mindset of these kids. It also felt really good to do something about a cause I believe in.
Wow - Jerry...
I wonder if that guy was in town because of the Oprah show?
How many people were with you that night???
we ended up having around 2,000. It was crazy.
